The Gasang-Gasang Festival commemorates the historical roots behind the town’s name, Gasan. Organized under the patronage of the Gasan Culture and Arts Foundation (GASCUAF), the festivities resound with the rhythmic cadence of festival drums, as contingents representing various barangays vie for excellence in both performance and choreography. Central to the celebration is a captivating portrayal of the Moryonan tradition and the Resurrection narrative, which unfolds each year on Easter Sunday.

The Moriones stands as a captivating Lenten celebration in the Island of Marinduque, Philippines, every Holy Week. Distinctive in its essence, the celebration unfolds with participants adorned in captivating Morion masks, artfully embodying the personas of Roman Soldiers and Syrian mercenaries central to the Passion of the Christ narrative.

Interwoven with profound religiosity, the festivities encompass a tapestry of elements, including religious processions, the poignant reenactment of the “Way of the Cross” known as Senakulo, and striking parades showcasing costumes inspired by biblical figures.
